For use in Gen 4 engines only (camshaft sensor on front of engine in timing cover). Will not work on Gen 3 engines with the cam sensor located behind the intake manifold. GM trucks typically started using Gen 4 engines in 2007. 
 
This Genuine GM camshaft is the ideal OEM quality replacement for your L96 or LY6 engine. This camshaft is also a popular choice to use when doing DOD/AFM deletes on 6.0L and 6.2L LS based engines such as the L99, L76, L77 and L94. 
 
This is a VVT camshaft but can also be used on Non-VVT single bolt applications (the non-VVT bolt and cam sprocket will block off the VVT oil port).
