The Phase1 consists of a software optimization of the engine control unit in which all performance-influencing maps are optimized for 98-octane Super-Plus fuel. This increases the efficiency of the engine, which in addition to the increase in maximum power, in part-load operation even leads to fuel savings. Our tuning is especially designed for good drivability, without negatively affecting the durability of the engine or the drive. The increase in power is noticeable over a wide rev range. In particular, the standard inertia in the lower speed range is no longer present due to the higher torque. EDS tunes are amonsgt the safest tunes on the market. Each map has carefully been checked and rechecked on countless test vehicles to ensure combustion detonation (also known as knock) is not present.
