Theo’s L77 VE V8 came in for some critical repairs after engine failure caused by cheap parts and a poor tune. The motor had been spitting metal and required a full rebuild to restore reliability and performance.
Our work included:
Blackwell Race Engines full engine rebuild with cylinder head treatment and 20” oversize pistons & rings
LS7 lifters with ACDELCO buckets
Mellings oil pump, tow cam, and valve springs
VCM OTR Cold Air Intake
Revhigh heatshield coated headers
Fixed ECU tune for safe and consistent performance
And many additional premium components
After the rebuild and tuning, this towing-oriented cam delivered a final dyno figure of 302 RWKW, providing substantial pull from idle up to 4000 RPM while maintaining reliability.
