This Is How the MG HS Should’ve Left the Factory – Stage 2+

The 2023 MG HS 1.5T delivers comfort, smoothness, and practicality — but from factory the ECU calibration is conservative. Throttle reaction is softer than it could be, turbo pressure builds slower, and the torque curve leaves performance untapped.

With Stage 2+ tuning, we optimise ignition timing, boost control, and air–fuel ratios (including oxygen strategy calibration) to bring the engine to life.
The difference is immediate: earlier torque, faster response, stronger mid-range, and improved pull at higher RPM — all while maintaining daily drivability.

📊 Dyno Results (On-Wheel)
Stock🔴 176.6 hp / 30.7 kg·m
Stage 2+
🟣 200.9 hp / 38.6 kg·m
🚀 Gains
✔+24 horsepower ✔+26% torque ✔Faster turbo spool ✔Broader usable power

What Changes Behind the Wheel?
Low RPM (1500–2200)
Torque now builds harder and earlier.👉 City driving from 30–60 km/h feels quicker and more responsive.
Mid Range (2200–4500)
The biggest improvement. Power stays strong and consistent.👉 Overtaking and uphill acceleration become easier and smoother.
High RPM (4500–6000)
Instead of tapering off, the engine keeps pulling.👉 Better high-speed re-acceleration with less need to downshift.

The Real Outcome
The vehicle feels:
✅ lighter
✅ faster reacting
✅ more confident in traffic
✅ stronger on hills
✅ smoother at speed
It’s still refined — just far more capable.
