The Challenge
This vehicle’s DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) systems were causing significant limitations, impacting both performance and fuel economy. For many owners, replacing the DPF can be a costly and recurring issue. Instead of opting for a replacement, the owner chose Revhigh’s specialized solution—a smokeless tune paired with a high-flowing exhaust.
We started by recalibrating the TRANSTON ECU with our custom tuning expertise. By addressing the DPF and EGR issues, we optimized airflow, reduced backpressure, and fine-tuned the vehicle’s overall performance. To support the enhanced tuning, we installed a high-flow exhaust system that complements the improved airflow dynamics.
The Results
The numbers speak for themselves:
Before: 103kW 526Nm
After: 142kW 628Nm
That’s an impressive gain of 39kW and 102Nm! The DMAX/MUX is now delivering exceptional torque and power while running cleanly and efficiently. Thanks to the smokeless tune, the vehicle operates without the black smoke commonly associated with diesel tuning—better for both the environment and the driver.
