This 2015 Audi A5 2.0L TFSI recently came into our workshop for our Revhigh Stage 2 performance package, and the results were exactly what you’d expect from a properly engineered setup and professional dyno calibration.

Unlocking the Potential of the 2.0L TFSI

The Audi 2.0 TFSI engine is well known in the performance world for responding extremely well to the right combination of hardware upgrades and tuning. While the factory setup delivers a smooth and refined driving experience, there is still significant performance left on the table.

For this particular A5, the goal was to improve power delivery, throttle response, and overall drivability while maintaining reliability and smooth operation.

Stage 2 Hardware & Software Upgrades

To achieve the desired results, we installed a combination of performance hardware and custom calibration developed and tested by the Revhigh team.

The Revhigh high-flow performance downpipe plays a major role in improving exhaust flow and reducing backpressure. This allows the turbocharger to operate more efficiently, which directly translates to stronger power gains once the vehicle is properly tuned.

To complement the hardware, we carried out a full custom dyno ECU tune, ensuring the engine calibration was optimized for the upgraded exhaust system.

DL501 Transmission Calibration

This Audi A5 is equipped with the DL501 dual-clutch transmission, which benefits greatly from a proper transmission calibration when power levels are increased.

Our custom DL501 TCU tune improves:

Shift speed
Torque management
Gear engagement under load
Overall drivability

The result is a much sharper and more responsive driving experience, especially during acceleration and spirited driving.

Dyno Results – Before and After

The improvements from the Stage 2 package were clearly visible on the dyno.

Before tuning:

Power: 164.9 kW
Torque: 478.1 Nm

After Stage 2 upgrades:

Power: 203.1 kW
Torque: 530.1 Nm

This represents a substantial increase in both power and torque, delivering noticeably stronger acceleration and a far more responsive throttle.
