Audi RS7 4.0L Twin Turbo Stage 2 Package | Intake, Downpipes & Custom ECU/TCU Tune

The Audi RS7 is already an incredibly capable performance sedan, but with the right combination of hardware and custom calibration, the 4.0L twin-turbo V8 has even more to offer.

This RS7 came into RevHigh Performance Tuning for our complete Stage 2 package, with the goal of improving performance, drivability, and overall reliability before final tuning.

Stage 2 Package

For this build, we carried out the following upgrades:

• Performance intake

• High-flow downpipes

• Custom ECU tune

• Custom TCU tune

Before any tuning work began, we completed a thorough inspection of the vehicle to ensure everything was operating as it should.

Additional Repairs

During our inspection, we identified a few issues that needed to be addressed before tuning.

To restore the engine to optimal condition, we replaced:

• Spark plugs

• Coil packs

• One oxygen sensor

By resolving these issues first, we were able to ensure the engine was performing correctly and that the custom calibration would deliver the best possible results.

• Torque: 814.1 Nm

After

• Power: 445.5 kW

• Torque: 925.7 Nm

Total Gains

• +81.5 kW

• +111.6 Nm

The combination of improved airflow, custom ECU tuning, and transmission calibration transformed the way the RS7 performs.

Power delivery is significantly stronger throughout the rev range, throttle response is sharper, and the transmission now complements the increased engine output with quicker, more responsive shifting.

Why a Health Check Matters

One of the most important parts of any performance build is ensuring the vehicle is mechanically sound before increasing power.

Although the customer came in for a Stage 2 upgrade, our inspection revealed worn ignition components and a faulty oxygen sensor. Replacing these parts before tuning ensured the engine could safely produce consistent power while maintaining reliability.
