At Revhigh, we love seeing cars reach their full potential. One of our latest projects was with Austen’s 2016 KIA GT PROCEED, a car already impressive in its stock form. But like every car enthusiast, Austen wanted more. That’s where our expertise in performance tuning came in.

The Challenge: Maximizing Stock Hardware

Austen’s goal was clear—more power, better torque, and a smoother driving experience—but he wanted to achieve this without swapping out hardware. With the car in pristine condition and an eagerness to maintain its reliability, we set out to unlock its hidden potential using our advanced tuning techniques.

The Results: Power and Torque Unleashed

After meticulous tuning and testing on our dyno, the results spoke for themselves:

Power: Increased from 105.7 kW to an impressive 131.4 kW at 204 RPM.
Torque: Jumped from 302.5 Nm to a massive 428.7 Nm at 100 RPM.

This means Austen’s KIA GT PROCEED now boasts an additional +28 kW and +126 Nm of raw power, all achieved while keeping the hardware stock. These gains translate to a more responsive and thrilling driving experience without sacrificing reliability or efficiency.

How We Achieved It

Our approach to tuning is all about precision. Here’s what we did:

Customized ECU Remap By analyzing the car’s ECU (Engine Control Unit), we tailored a map to optimize air-fuel ratios, ignition timing, and boost control. This allowed us to extract maximum performance without overloading the stock components.
Dyno Testing and Refinement We used our in-house dyno to test and refine the tune, ensuring the car delivered consistent and safe performance across the RPM range.
Monitoring for Longevity While adding power is exciting, maintaining reliability is key. We carefully monitored key parameters like engine temperatures, boost levels, and fuel trims to ensure the tune was not only powerful but also sustainable.
