Holden 6.0L V8 Rebuild & LS9 Cam Upgrade – 299.9kW at the Wheels

At Revhigh Performance Tuning, we love seeing a properly built LS V8 come together. Mick’s 6.0L V8 came in with a fresh rebuild, an LS9 camshaft upgrade and a selection of performance supporting modifications to help it make serious power.

With a set of REVHIGH heat-shielded headers and a VCM OTR intake completing the setup, this combination delivered an impressive result on the dyno.

Performance Upgrades

Mick’s 6.0L V8 features the following modifications:

• 6.0L V8 engine rebuild

• LS9 camshaft upgrade

These modifications work together to improve the engine's breathing and performance potential. The LS9 camshaft helps deliver a more performance-focused setup, while the VCM OTR intake and REVHIGH heat-shielded headers provide supporting airflow upgrades.

Dyno Results

The final dyno run recorded the following peak figures:

• Peak power: 299.9kW

• Peak torque: 630.5Nm

That's approximately 402 wheel horsepower, with a strong 630.5Nm of torque recorded on the dyno.

The results demonstrate what a well-matched combination of engine work, camshaft selection and supporting bolt-on modifications can achieve.
