Audi A5 TDI Stage 2 – ECU & TCU Dyno Tune, Intake & Downpipe

This Audi A5 TDI came into Revhigh for a Stage 2 performance upgrade, with a combination of hardware upgrades and custom ECU and TCU dyno tuning.

The goal was to improve the vehicle's overall performance by increasing power and torque while optimising both the engine and transmission calibration to work with the upgraded hardware.

The Audi A5 TDI received:

• TCU Dyno Tune

• Cold Air Intake

• Downpipe

The combination of increased airflow, improved exhaust flow and custom calibration allows the engine and transmission to make better use of the available performance.

📊 Dyno Results

Before tuning, the A5 TDI produced:

195.6 wheel kW701.9 wheel Nm

After the Stage 2 upgrades and ECU & TCU tuning, the car produced:

230.6 wheel kW790.8 wheel Nm

That's a gain of:

+35.0 wheel kW+88.9 wheel Nm

The power increase is equivalent to approximately 46.9 wheel HP, or around 58.7 HP at the engine using the 1.25 conversion.

🚗 More Power & Torque

The additional power and torque give the Audi A5 TDI a stronger overall performance package, with the TCU calibration helping the transmission work alongside the increased engine output.

With the cold air intake and downpipe supporting improved airflow, the ECU tune can be calibrated specifically around the vehicle's hardware rather than relying on a generic off-the-shelf tune.
