Big Gains on the Dyno – Chris’ Trip from Geelong Pays Off

When it comes to getting the most out of your car, a proper dyno tune can completely transform how it performs on the road. Chris made the trip all the way down from Geelong to visit us at Revhigh for our Dyno Tune +
Transmission Tune Package, along with a set of upgraded downpipes.
From the moment the car rolled onto the dyno, we could see there was good potential in the setup. After completing a full inspection and running the baseline test, we got to work refining both the engine calibration and the transmission tune to maximise performance and drivability.
The Upgrades
For this package, the car received:

Transmission Tune to optimise shift points and response
Performance Downpipes
Each of these components plays an important role. The downpipes help the engine breathe more efficiently by reducing exhaust restriction, while the engine and transmission tune ensure everything works together smoothly and efficiently.
Dyno Results – Before vs After
The results speak for themselves.
Before Tune
330 kW at the wheels
830 Nm of torque
After Tune
408 kW at the wheels
999 Nm of torque
That’s a gain of almost 80 kW at the wheels and around 150 Nm of torque.
Not only does this increase overall power, but the additional torque significantly improves acceleration and responsiveness, especially through the mid-range where you feel it most on the street.
Why a Transmission Tune Matters
Many people focus purely on engine tuning, but pairing it with a transmission tune makes a huge difference. By optimising shift timing, line pressure, and torque management, the gearbox can fully utilise the extra power being produced by the engine.

Another Successful Dyno Session
After finalising the calibration and running the final dyno pulls, the car left the workshop performing far stronger than when it arrived. Chris made the drive down from Geelong and left with a car that feels completely different behind the wheel.
