Doubling the Power of a 132ps Tiguan: A Transformation Story

Last year, this 132ps Tiguan was completely stock, clocking in at 120kw at the wheels. Fast forward to today, and it’s a whole new beast with twice the power output, thanks to a series of impressive modifications.

First on the list was the installation of a GARRET POWERMAX turbo, giving the Tiguan a significant boost in performance. Next, we added an RS3 Intercooler to ensure the engine stays cool under pressure. A full exhaust system was fitted to enhance airflow, while the MST Intake provided an extra edge in air intake efficiency. Finally, we implemented Water/Methanol Injection (WMI) to maximize power and efficiency.

The results speak for themselves. Without WMI, this Tiguan now makes 226kw at all four wheels—a remarkable improvement. With WMI engaged, it hits an impressive 236kw, making it a powerhouse on the road.
