Jayden’s 2012 Holden Commodore LFX V6 Gets the Full Revhigh Treatment 🔥

Most people think naturally aspirated Holden V6 builds have already reached their limit — but Jayden’s 2012 LFX 3.6L VE Commodore proves there’s still serious performance hiding in these engines when the right combination is put together.
This wasn’t just a simple bolt-on and tune package. The goal with this build was to create a stronger, sharper, and more responsive setup now, while also preparing the engine for future boost plans down the track.
And the results speak for themselves.

The Build
To make this happen, the engine received a serious refresh and performance upgrade package:
⚙️ Reconditioned cylinder heads
⚙️ Minor port work for improved airflow
⚙️ Upgraded valve springs
⚙️ 211R camshafts
⚙️ ORSSOM OTR intake
⚙️ Revhigh downpipes
⚙️ Revhigh Racing coil packs
⚙️ Fresh spark plugs
⚙️ Custom dyno tune
⚙️ New gapped piston rings ready for future boost setup
⚙️ Front & rear Whiteline sway bars + complete bushing kit
⚙️ Factory stock catback exhaust
Every component was selected to improve overall airflow, engine efficiency, throttle response, and reliability while laying the foundation for even bigger power later on.

From Slow & Untuned… To Properly Sorted
One of the biggest surprises with this build was the untuned power result after modifications were installed.
📉 Stock Power:170kW at the wheels
📉 Mods Installed (Untuned):150kW
This is exactly why proper calibration matters. Throwing performance parts at a car without correctly tuning them can actually reduce performance and drivability.
After completing the custom dyno tune and refining the setup, the car completely came alive.
📈 Final Tuned Result:
215kW at the wheels 💪

That’s a massive gain over the factory setup, with significantly stronger top-end power, sharper throttle response, smoother delivery, and a much more aggressive character throughout the rev range.
More Than Just Peak Power
The biggest improvement isn’t just the dyno number — it’s how the car now drives.
The upgraded camshafts combined with the intake, downpipes, and custom tuning transformed the personality of the LFX platform. The engine now pulls harder all the way through the rev range while maintaining solid drivability for street use.

The Whiteline suspension upgrades also help put the power down more effectively and improve overall handling feel, making the car far more capable both on the street and during spirited driving.
And with the gapped piston rings already installed, this setup is now ready for the next stage once boost enters the picture 👀
