At Revhigh, we love bringing the best out of Holden’s iconic V8 engines. Recently, Jude brought us his VF Commodore L77 to step things up with our Stage 2 Performance Package – and the results were nothing short of impressive.

What’s in the Stage 2 Package?

To maximize power, torque, and drivability, we fitted Jude’s VF V8 with the following upgrades:

VCM OTR Intake – allowing the engine to breathe freely.
2.5” Catback Exhaust – for better flow and that deep V8 tone.
Revhigh Heat Shielded Headers – reducing heat soak and improving exhaust scavenging.
Spark Plugs – fresh ignition components for reliable performance.
ECU + TCU Tuning – optimized fueling, timing, and transmission mapping.

Why Stage 2 Makes a Difference

The Stage 2 package doesn’t just give you more peak power – it enhances the way your Commodore drives every day. From quicker acceleration to better midrange torque for overtaking, it’s about unlocking the true potential of the L77 engine. Plus, with ECU and TCU tuning, you’re getting a smarter, more efficient V8 that makes the most of every upgrade.

Dyno Results – Before vs After

After installing the upgrades and dialing in the tune, the Commodore hit the dyno for testing. Here’s what we saw:

Before: 505.5 Nm / 232.8 kW
After: 549.5 Nm / 264.1 kW

That’s a significant gain across both torque and power, translating into sharper throttle response, smoother gear shifts, and a stronger pull through the entire rev range.
