This Volkswagen Golf MK6 GTI came into Revhigh Performance Tuning for investigation after the owner noticed a drop in performance. Our team performed a complete carbon clean, replaced spark plugs, and checked all critical components — and what we found made a big difference.

After completing these upgrades, we ran the GTI on the Revhigh dyno to see how it performed. Despite some improvement, it was clear something still wasn’t right — the tune felt inconsistent. The car had an IntEn flash tune on both the ECU and TCU, which needed deeper inspection.

Upon review, we discovered the tune had incorrect calibration data. Several tables were modified outside proper tuning zones, with torque modeling errors and fuel maps too rich up top and too lean down low.

Our calibration engineers recalculated and corrected the torque and fueling models, ensuring everything aligned with OEM standards and Revhigh’s performance tuning parameters.

168.2 kW @ 156 km/h

470.8 Nm @ 106 km/h

The results were immediate — massive torque gains in the lower RPMs and smoother, safer power delivery throughout the range. The GTI now delivers consistent torque as soon as the engine can mechanically achieve it, without compromising reliability or fuel economy.
